what are the most significant SEO Ranking Factors in 2020.

I have also invited myself and of course, participated with my experience. The study builds on the studies he previously did when he was at Moz and is, as always, an exciting solution. But as always, of course, one should read that kind of thing with a pinch of salt and in this post, I will spice up the results of the survey with a few of my own, completely unreserved opinions.

Positioning variables rely upon the sort of search

I can state with satisfaction that an overwhelming majority of the survey respondents believe that Google's Ranking Factors are dynamic and thus not necessarily the same on all searches.

This is also why broad surveys of SEO services in Pakistan Ranking Factors will never be completely accurate for all kinds of searches. And that's also what makes it so that in some markets you can experience that all top 10 results are something “spammy crap” - to put it bluntly, and similar searches in other markets are characterized by a hero's other quality. The above is also affected by Google's general "quality threshold" - they rank the things they can find, and if all they can find on a particular type of search in a particular language or country, then lower the quality barrier, and they then show the best of the “crap” they could find after all.

Which ranking factors weigh most in 2020

With the above caveats in mind, in the graph below you can see what the average of the many SEO people think is the most important ranking factor. I agree with many of them, though far from all of them. I mean, for example. speed, User Engagement Data, and AMP play a somewhat larger role.

I also think many underestimate the value of links. The fact remains that we can, again and again, demonstrate a huge visibility boost to sites to which we provide many new links. The dirt works.

Conversely, I very much agree that keyword in the domain habit and Accessibility factors, in general, means very little. The latter, however, I think may well change in the long run.

The main Ranking Factor trends in the next three years

Of course, it's hard to predict the future, but below you can see the average rating of what's going to mean the most in the next three years. Again, I can well agree with some of that. I also think that Google's fight to keep users will play a growing role but at the same time I must also (with pleasure) note that there are still extremely many who actually Click on the organic results. Conversely, I think many respondents slightly underestimate the importance that interference from legislators - not just in the US, but also in the EU, can have on what Google will have to do. Voice Search I think myself, as opposed to Rand Fishkin, will gain more ground than we might just go and think. It's hard to say how fast, but it's definitely good Voice Search is better than the lousy keyboards on the many small mobile devices.

Conclusions of the study

As I said, you have to take this kind of research with a serious grain of salt, but having said that, it is always interesting to read a little about the experiences of good colleagues. And I can not - even after almost 25 years in the industry, be absolutely sure that I am always right. But the direction - which way the wind blows, I actually usually think I'm lucky to predict 🙂 Many of the survey respondents are in the United States, some in Europe, but very few in Denmark. Therefore, there may be local conditions in the study that do not quite fit here - or in your particular market. In Denmark, for example, I experience that Local Search is playing a bigger and bigger role - not least within the many searches for service providers, such as hairdressers, craftsmen, local shops, accountants, etc.
